Coronation Street stars Katie McGlynn and Rob Mallard have been announced as patrons of Mummy’s Star, the only dedicated charity in the UK and Ireland that support women and their families diagnosed with cancer in or around pregnancy.
The British actors, who play Sinead and Daniel in the ITV soap, have worked closely with the charity over the past 12 months, as their characters tackled a cancer during pregnancy storyline, and jointly commented 'We are very happy and proud to be invited to join Mummy’s Star. We hope to raise as much awareness and funds as possible for this important and honourable charity'.
